PRE-SALE now offered! "The Cloak" was an English comic strip that (mostly) ran in the 1960s pages of Pow! and Smash! comics. It was created by Mike Higgs, who carried the strip into further fields after the demise of the Odhams comic line. Comicoz, in partnership with Mike and Rebellion, are now collecting and publishing all the Cloak's works in one fantastic 200-page plus hardcover volume.
The book is going to be distributed by Diamond UK in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and parts of Europe. IF you live in these parts of the world, contact your local comic shop and get them to pre-order (the code is AUG262180). Otherwise, Aussie punters: the best way for you to purchase a copy will be by putting in an advance order here. There will only be fifty copies available in Australia (unless your local comic shop picks up the title). So, get in quick!
What's not to like about it? Alan Moore, of Watchmen fame, liked it so much he has written an introduction to the book. There's a Q and A session with Mike, there are never-before published and rarely-seen pieces of artwork. And, of course, the complete stories of The Cloak. Who is he? For those who don't know: it's a spoof of life in the 1960s. Price will include postage and packing (and tracking) within Australia.
